Amitbhai Anilchandra "Amit" Shah born on 22 October 1964 is an Indian legislator from Gujarat and the present president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Shah was chosen as a MLA from Sarkhej in four back to back races: 1997 by-decision 1998, 2002 and 2007. He is a nearby partner of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and held various portfolios in the state government amid Modi's residency as Chief Minister of Gujarat. He is the MLA from Naranpura, winning the voting public with the second-biggest edge of triumph in the 2012 decisions.
